These lyrics were written after coming to the realization that the fight that I now am a combatant in is not really a
Fight that I ‘fight’ at all. It is actually a fight that Christ already fought for me. My job is essentially to walk in it. While there is a certain relief that comes with knowing someone is Fighting for You, there’s also the self-imposed pressure of not wanting to let them down. The love of God gives us a gauge of our true worth and that’s what inspired me to say…
“…The size of the fight is measured by the prize that will be won. You showed me what I’m worth when You poured out your love…”
